CUTTING CORNERS!!!
The idea was inspired by a group of revolutionaries that look apathy in the face.
And sock it...in the face. We see a broken world with broken people.
After doing everything we can to "help" these people...
we realize that it is us who are the most broken.
Yet, we live in the hope that God will use each of us in ways beyond measure.
Cutting Corners is a revolutionary blanket drive that allows
you to tell your story through art, poetry, and expression.
A blanket that will warm a cold soul.
Combining a ministry for the homeless and the non-profit Invisible Children,
we want to allow the community a way to give back
in a more personal level.
Instead of donating money or writing a check,
you can come with a blanket in hand, ready to make it your own.
Invisible Children is a non-profit organization that started when
three college students took a trip to Africa. What they saw devastated them.
Joseph Kony, a rebel leader in northern Uganda,
has been abducting children and forcing them to fight in
the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army).
After twenty three years of war, the land has been devasted
with very little sign of progress.
Invisible Children aims to rebuild schools in northern Uganda
while being a political voice to end the war that is
now effecting 3 nations.
Parea community is an organization that exists to extend their love and hands to
those who need it: the broken, the forgotten, and the poor and needy.
Originating in Old Town Victorville, California, Parea Community has now extended their
reach to Portland, Oregon, the homeless capital of the United States.
Parea Community does not exist to only help and give a hand to these people,
but to also extend love and hope towards these people, and remind them that they
are a valuable aspect of the world.
Join us. November 15th, 2009 from 2:00-5:00pm at Mojave Narrows.

So, hers the thing. The Declaration of Independence states, that if you have the Ability, then you have the Responsibility.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

- John Hancock

So Ability = Responsibility

This is our Declaration.

This is what we love.

This is what we do.

This is what we live for!

Together we are free
